Running from the cops!

 Jk we definitely didn't run from the cops, in fact I think the guy that called the cops on us was bluffing...hope he was bluffing 😬 anyways this week was an adventure!

March 25th: Today was amazing! Miracles are still abound! Last like last week was a God testing us cause last week was pretty bland  compared to this week! So thus morning some mean dude called the cops on us. He was actually the first person we met today so that was lovely. And i was like welp this week is going down the toliet but God was like dont worry it will get better! Anyways we think he was bluffing cause we just waited in the car twiddling our thumbs waiting for the cops to show up and they never did. I think that guy just doesn't like missionaries for some reason, maybe one to many pass along cards jammed into his front door?? Idk but we just drove off and went to Tops in sandy creek and there was not much goin down there but I did compliment this women's hair even tho it was totally fake. She was nice but not interested. Dang nabit. Then after lunch we had a mentor meeting call. During weekly planning we got THREE refurals! Boom! It was the best! And we talked to one of them on the phone! Her name was Karena and she told us her whole life story!! (Typical for NYs) Then we put her on date for Baptism!! Her sons birthday is April 18th, Emily's birthday us the 19th, her birthday is the 20th and mine is the 21st!! Thought that was kinda crazy! Her baptismal date is on her birthday! Which is also Easter so that'll be special!

March 26th: We met Tami! She was the cutest old lady! We read her a scripture about how little children our pure and innocent and how we should all repent and be like little children and she said she read a scripture very similar to that one this morning so that was cool! We had a lesson with Karena on zoom and taught the first half of the Plan of Salvation! Then we had dinner at this inactive members house and they were so sweet and there house was so clean which honestly I didn't know that was possible in Pulaski! We had a really powerful lesson with then about the atonement and how it's helped them in there lives and it was just so neat! Then we talked about our miracle reffural on miracle call!

March 27th: We went to have our normal lesson with Matt and then Matt's gf Katie came down the stairs and she is so cool! She wants to come to church this week! We had a lesson about baptism and the preisthood power with her and Matt! And the Sacrament and why its important! Anyways Katie just loved it and gave us hugs! Then we  had a lesson with Leyna at her house and even met her mom! She made us some chili and we talked about covenants! Then at service we cleaned out the fridges and Jamie whistled wizard of oz!! Then we went on exchanges with Auburn and had a lesson with Ray and went finding for like 2.5 seconds. Then had a member meal which felt good cause we haven't had one in a while and then sports night! And even tho my team lost at volleyball we definitely had more heart then the other team.

March 28th: TON of lessons today! Fred fr just wanted to talk about his doh the whole lesson and it was an hour long and then we we were like bye bye!! Then we met James and he was really interesting! He was smoking and pacing and tbh idk how much he was really there but he said he wanted to come to church so eyy I'll take it. Then we went to park somewhere to report stuff and I saw this cute lady standing outside her apartment and bee lined to her and had a thirty minute talk about missionary stuff and she was sooo cool she wants to go finding with us lol! Then we had kinda a confusing lesson with Crystal and Brother Giovo but she still came to church even though she was confused! Then we taught Nancy the plano and she is so elect!!! And just so sweet! We gave her a hug and she was just so cute! Then for zone comp study Elder Kurns read these bullet points in preach my gospel super enthusiasticly and it was so funny!

March 29th: honestly not much happened today but I did get to meet Sharon and her fat cat coco!! 

March 30th: none of our friends came to church except Crystal buuut it was still really good cause I felt the spirit idk bout yall but that's the most important part about church! Then we had an awesome lesson with Randy and Michal about the gospel and the plan of Salvation! And then we had a lesson with the rettigs about prophets cause GENErAL CONFERENCE is comin up!! ARE YOU EXCITED!! HAHAHA!! ( imagine ceaser flickering on hunger games) anyways so hyped for general conference! Then we ended that night with a cool lesson with our friend Debra! 

Spiritual thought: love god cause he sure loves you!!!!

Hanging out at the park!! ( for 2 and a half hours :0)

 

Hey all as you can probably guess I love hanging out at the park for lunch!! This time I had the lovely opportunity to hang out there for two and a half whole hours! (I know this isn't super exciting intro but I'm trying okay lol) 

March 18th: We found a lost sheep of the Pulaski branch!! We were driving back home after knocking all morning and we found a member of the branch wandering around outside! He was walking himself to the doctors! We didn't know he was a member until we started talking with him and he started talking about temples and stuff and we were like oh no way you are a member! So that was cool! He didn’t come to church but still cool! After weekly planning we had a mentor meeting and it was weird being a trainer instead of a greenie but it was also kinda nice cause the mentor guy helped me too! We met this guy named Bob and he was nice but not interested and like dudes name here is either Bob, Gary, Bill or George like fr it's so funny to me.

March 19th: Today was absolutely nuts we had 7 lessons and by the end of the day I was absolutely exhausted but in a good I worked really hard way! Anyways we had zone council and learned a ton if stuff there! We learned to get up when your struggling and how it's okay to fall sometimes. And just how being a successful missionary isn't about the numbers it's just doing your best. And your best looks diffrent everyday! We met this guy named Wayne! Got his number and he really wasn't super interested but we were desperate. We had a great lesson with Tyler in his front yard. And a sorta good lesson with David! And he had the chubbiest dog ever. Then we had a lesson with George in his yard.

March 20th: so today was not as planned, we decided to have a lovely picnic at the park and someone accidentally locked the keys in the car so we had to wait 2 and a half hours to get someone to get the keys out. And it was cold outside..not very fun but eyy I guess now we can withstand the cold better?? Idk I'm trying ti have a positive mindset. Anyways we had an awesome spiritual lesson with Leyna and then talked with this guy named Fred who I think just wanted someone to talk to but we were there for him!

March 21st: 8 months woohoo!! They decided not to do a micro training this morning so we had to fend for our own spiritual motivation! But it was still a good morning cause we did a ton of door knocking! We made cookies for people too! And we had a killer Word of Wisdom lesson with melisa! 

March 22nd: kinda a hard day ngl. The best part about the day was we had this awesome lesson with Crystal about baptism and covants and the Holy Ghost! Yay! And we asked her to pray about a specific day to get baptized! So hopefully it happens soon!

March 23rd: I literally love sundays so much! I love the branch and all the new Yorkers and we had a spiritual lesson about Emma Smith getting through hard times, made me cry ngl! Then we went knocking and I had a prompting to talk to Al!! So we walked to his house and he was like "Eyyy I'm so happy you are here!!" Litterly his face started to glow and Buster (his dog) was being so cute! It was the best! We just talked outside of his house for 30 minutes! Then a bunch of other stuff!!

Spiritual thought: God is testing your patience when you are having a hard day! Keep having faith that no matter what happens that God's plan for you can never fail.

I'm a mom!👩‍🍼

 

Hey everyone, I apologize for not writing a super amazing email last week I was currently dying with the flu at the moment so writing my email sounded like the worst thing ever..but don't worry I feel 100% today so imma write all the stuff this week and last week so I hope you get your favorite pillow snug up next to you cause this will probably make half of you fall asleep! 

March 4th: Today was seriously the best! We found out it was Chucks birthday today! (some random guy we met!) My dad sent me an email saying "happy birthday to someone out there" my dad was either spying on us or secretly is really good friends with Chuck! Crazy coundink!! Actually it's not a coundink God knows everything! We had a lesson with Randy about service, marriage and families! We met this guy named Kody and he is crazy! We had to block his number cause he kept spamming our phone! Anyways I've been really focusing on having interactions with people that make them feel loved! I don't want people to remember missionaries as just people trying to collect all there information I want people to have interactions with missionaries that make them think back and remember how loving and caring we are! I want people to know we genuinely care about there lives, dreams, hobbies and all that stuff! So that's what I've been focusing on! We found these two older people at the store! Jacoba and Rick! Turns out they are the very first people Sister prettyman taught in Pulaski that we lost in contact with and are now in contact with again! We knocked this one street and this guy named Sheldon anwsered and asked how old we are and then he said "I'm 33 so that's okay"...what sheldon?!! That's not okay! Eww..

March 5th: We walked on a frozen lake for our lunch break. fr dumb idea, it was freezing. idk what we were thinking. Then we had a spiritual thought at the Rettigs and with Crystal about Ministering angels! Then we drove around everywhere trying to find people! Then we had dinner at the Jones! We finished our cup song today! 

March 6th: Interviews with president! I told him IM READY TO TRAIN PREZ!! And he was like that's good. So hopefully I train! I'm ready! Am I ready?? Fake it til you make it ig! Then we went on exchanges! Met some cool people! Had a killer lesson about baptism! Then we played hockey with the Johnsons that night and my team crushed it! The last two games I had to fend for myself and that made it harder! But I finally got to play a game of chair soccer! 

March 7th: We had a micro training on something pretty good, unfortunately I forgot to write it down but I'm sure it was pretty good. We met Tyler at the gas station and talked about the importance of reading the scriptures! We had a lesson with Crystal about 3 nephi 10-21 and connected the waiting period/trail of faith with Crystal! She knows she wants to get baptized but she might have to wait a bit longer until Tate man's up a marries her. We had a super long lesson with Jacoba and Rick! We played scripture baseball with the Johnsons! 

March 8th: We had a killer lesson with Matt about enduring to the end! Then we met Tye! Tye is a senior in high school but he's super interested in the gospel! Then we did a heck load of finding! Unfortunately no one was interested womp womp! Then we had dinner at the Rettigs and talked about the brother of Jared! Sometimes the lord puts things in our hands to figure out for ourselves before he can help us!

March 9th: THIS SUNDAY was the BEST! Despite the fact I was not feeling Supa hot. Anyways we had church and linger longer! So that was really fun! Everyone was there!! All 20 people! I love this branch! Then we went finding and found a lil family and they are the best! Her name is Liz and her kids are so cute! Then we had the best lesson with Tye on the phoe ever!! It was a mix of resto and gospel!! Then we met this awesome guy apartment knocking named Jahlin! Then we had dinna at the Johnsons! Took us like a million times to get a group photo cause fr everyone was jumping off the couch or making funny faces! And a lesson with the Rettigs about something..idk I was feeling Reay sick so fr sista prettyman carried!

March 10th: found out I have the flu and that was not very fun.

March 11th: guess what!! Imma be a mom!! Woohoo!! Oh my gosh I'm getting a greenie! I'm so excited! But I'm still sick too!! 

March 12th: Still sick and played cards on the ground!!

March 13th: Today was incredible! So both me and Sister prettyman were feeling a lot better, she coughed like the whole night but I didn't really hear it lol. Anyways I got my greenie! Her name is Sister Johnson and we had a blast! Found this cute lady named Julie! Found a not very happy lady and found an awesome girl named Maddy!! And a funny guy named Gary who told us God would tell him if he needed anything else in his life and we were like Gary we are the sign from God but he told us God would tell him..bru uh hh! 

March 14th: We had some solid lessons!! Accidentally drove outta our area and met a lady with 7 cats! 

March 15th: We found so many people today it was crazy!!!!! All of them were so cool and made sure to get to know them well and let them know they are loved! We also got two refurals so Miracles!! 

March 16th: Church was great!! No friends came but that's okay! And then we had the relief society thing and went door knocking!! Yay!!

Spiritual thought: The best thing you can do is be kind!! ❤️
